My work is rooted in a deep engagement with sound, storytelling, and the act of listening. It navigates through interdisciplinary collaboration, technological exploration, and the creation of environments that encourage artistic exchange. Documentary in nature, it prioritises authenticity and a fascination with the ways stories take shape through sound.
At its core, the focus is on creating experiential sonic events and immersive formats that explore spatial listening and the materiality of sound. This technical foundation underpins both commercial and personal projects, shaping a practice that blends artistry with innovation.
In 2015, I established Arco Barco, an independent creative space for experimentation and dialogue between artists, musicians, and thinkers. It has since evolved into a hub for creative practitioners to interrogate their disciplines, refine their craft, and engage in meaningful collaboration. A commitment to arts education has also played a significant role, working closely with universities and institutions to support emerging talent.
Ramsgate Radio, launched in 2020, was conceived as a platform to connect communities through music, conversation, and live broadcast. Initially a hyper-local initiative, it has since grown to engage a wider, international audience, exploring themes of digital culture, sustainability, and the evolving nature of media. The project sits at the intersection of the ephemeral and the archival, embracing sound’s ability to be both fleeting and enduring.
Current work is centred on sonic installations, documentary composition, and spatial audio, often engaging with the interplay between technology, environment, and perception. The aim is to create spaces—both physical and conceptual—where listening becomes an act of discovery, allowing the familiar to be recontextualised and the unheard to emerge.
